Dear Valued Customers,

This letter is to inform you that, after nearly 20 years in business, Botanical Preservation Corps will be closing its retail operations. Over the years, we have aspired to encourage others toward a deeper relation with the realm of plants, to find self empowerment through taking health and healing into their own hands, and thus catalyze ecological conservation. During this time we have had the pleasure of pioneering the introduction of many obscure beneficial herbs to the wider world. In the past two decades, we have seen the distribution of medicinal herbs go from a small grass-roots movement to a heavily regulated lucrative industry. We made the conscious decision to remain a small business in order to stay directly connected to our suppliers, customers and family.

Due to a complex variety of factors, we have made the difficult decision to put BPC to rest.  After 14 years of directing operations our time is done. We are choosing to put our energies elsewhere– to devote more time to family, to our ongoing ethnobotanical studies in the Andes, and to our sister nursery/biosanctuary Sacred Succulents: Rare and Endangered Beneficial Plants and Seeds– with which we support conservation of biodiversity through propagation and dissemination of a cornucopia of rare medicinal and edible plants and seeds. (see http://www.sacredsucculents.com

BPC founder Rob Montgomery will be continuing an exclusively wholesale BPC operation from Canada of some select botanicals and fine new formulations. He should have BPC Canada web-ready in the near future where he plans to share stories and photos from his expeditions and research along with new product offerings. Email him to subscribe to his list and be notified of developments – bpc.canada@gmail.com

We want to extend our most sincere and immense gratitude for your ongoing support over the years. It has been our joy to be a source of education and of high quality botanical medicines, to be a connection point for conscious cultivators and wildcrafters to herbal formulators and self-empowered individuals, all seeking to harmonize with the larger metabolic workings of the Biosphere. Your patronage has allowed us to remain in integrity with our values, both as a business and as a family.

Our final day of business will be March 20, 2016 . Until that day our remaining stock will be listed on the website available for purchase. You may contact us with specific requests and if it is viable for us to fill them, we will. This is your last chance to obtain many of our products. After our closing date, we will post links to other reliable suppliers and sources for some of the herbs we have offered.

You can continue to follow and support our work through Sacred Succulents. Some of the books BPC has offered will continue to be available through here. Though we do not currently have a trip planned, we, as Sacred Succulents, do expect to continue to lead ethnobiology field courses in the Andes sometime downstream. You can stay informed of all this by signing up to the Sacred Succulents email list -

It has been our great pleasure to serve you. We wish you the very best in Health and Happiness.

With gratitude,
Ben, Jamaica and family

Greetings!  In the spirit of reciprocity we offer you this website and the resources contained herein.
Botanical Preservation Corps is dedicated to nourishing the web of life through the preservation and evolution of human relations with the botanical realm. Through our botanical and educational offerings we aspire to aid in transforming the modern legacy of humankind’s segregation from nature to a fresh culture of interconnection and communion.
Beneficial plants, through the diverse actions of their resonant chemistries, can bring mind and body back

into harmony with the larger metabolic workings of the Biosphere.

Many of the products, acquisitions and formulations presented here have been the result of years of personal expeditions and collaborations along rainforest trails and garden paths, down archive hallways and neural corridors. Here at BPC we work to cultivate a symbiosis of ethical business practices, public education, and offerings of select exotic herbs that animate health and favor the people and ecosystems from which they are harvested. We are stout supporters of sustainable agriculture and source our herbs from ecologically aware distributors, farmers, and wildcrafters throughout the Americas, Asia, Africa, and Europe. Supporting indigenous groups through the purchase of their products creates a viable economic incentive to maintain and restore wild habitats and vitalize social development. With our selection of books and recordings
we aim to educate and empower individuals with knowledge of current herbal science and
the underlying intimacy of humanity’s botanical heritage.
We believe the science of ethnobotany, the shamanic herbalist traditions of the world and permaculture principles have tremendous potential to catalyze environmental conservation, social change and integrate the schisms of the modern psyche.

As a small family run business we remain the premier source for excellence, price and reliable service.
We hope you will find health, insight and inspiration in the items, thoughts and resources presented here.
